Lincoln has redesigned its full-size luxury sport utility vehicle for 2007 and added a stretched version, the L. The latter has nearly 25 more cubic feet of space behind the third-row seats, but other than that, changes are minor.

Exterior
The Navigator could be accused of being boxy, though Lincoln calls this effect "clean lines." Either way, the body is more understated than past versions', when the vehicle appealed to a wide range of buyers — from the country club set to celebrities. Lincoln says it's trying to maintain a broad base of customers, but this box might not appeal to hipsters.

2007 Lincoln MKZ is the Zephyr renamed and upgraded – though I think everyone would’ve liked to see the name Zephyr stick around. I cannot for the life of me remember which is the MKZ and which is the MKX. Add the upcoming MKS to the mix and I’m lost. Naming issues aside, what’s the new Lincoln all about? Well, for one, a badass engine sits under the hood this year. Ford’s excellent 263 HP 3.5 liter DOHC V6 Duratec engine provides the go-juice, and it’s hooked up to Lincoln’s slick 6 speed automatic transmission.

Car and Driver reviews the 2007 Lincoln MKX and writes – ‘Our all-wheel-drive MKX was loaded with options including adaptive headlamps, heated-and-cooled front seats, a DVD navigation system, a 14-speaker THX sound system, the big sunroof, and a power litigate, all of which made it pretty deluxe. But that extravagance raised the price from $36,445 to a lofty $43,595. That’s a lot of money for a vehicle that, looks aside, isn’t very different from the Edge, which starts at $25,995 for a front-drive model (add $1650 for all-wheel drive). Plus, many of those options are available on the Edge. The MKX is good, but unless you’re a huge fan of the styling or a dead-set on cooled seats, the Edge is a far better deal.’

The Lincoln MKR Concept is sophisticated and modern, resembling an athlete -extremely strong and fit but looks elegant in a tuxedo! Before debuting at the Detroit auto show in early January, images of Ford's new Lincoln MKR Concept have leaked. We couldn’t stop ourselves from taking you on a virtual tour of these spellbinding pics. The MKR was designed according to styling concepts that Lincoln has identified as inherent to the brand. The four-door rear-wheel-drive sedan is powered by a 415 horsepower twin-turbocharged V6. Peak horsepower comes at 5750 rpm, while peak torque of 400 pound-feet arrives at 2000 rpm. The 4075 lbs MKR runs on E85 ethanol fuel and pricing is expected to be over $50,000.

Americans can be suckers. Think about it – in the grocery store, many consumers buy the cereal in the colorful box or the milk with the amiable cow on the label, despite knowing that what’s inside is often the exact same stuff as found in the generic or store-branded containers. A popular show on TV religiously demonstrates how a little paint and a new lawn will get buyers to fork over $500,000 for a house that was $250,000 last week. And with the 2006 Lincoln Mark LT, Ford Motor Company is attempting to get an extra ten grand for a gussied-up F-150 pickup.

Back in 2004, Lincoln was in the process designing an all new convertible called the Mark X. Reminiscent of the Old School Lincoln Continental convertibles, this concept was a two door hard top with a glass roof, automatically retractable. It’s exterior design looks familiar, as many of the styling lines can be seen on current Lincoln vehicles. There are no suicide doors, but Lincoln Mark X’s interior is striking. White leather and state of the art LCD dash monitors make this vehicle look more like something out of a Stephen Spielberg motion picture.
